The short version
I started building WordPress sites because a family business needed one and the quotes were absurd. That site is still online. Nine years later I do the same job for local businesses abroad — plumbers, clinics, law firms, roofers — the kind of business where one extra call a week pays for the whole project.
Divi 5 is new. I've already broken it in every way worth breaking, on my own sites, so your build doesn't get to be the experiment. When it shipped I migrated my back catalogue first and kept notes on everything that went wrong.
Then I do the unglamorous half: Google Business Profile, service pages that match how people actually search, citations, page speed. A beautiful site nobody finds is a hobby, not an asset.
