Aaron's take

Homeowners do not search for concrete. They search for the thing they want: a driveway, a patio, a stamped surface, a repaired slab. "Concrete contractor" gets about 60,500 searches a month in the US, but stamped concrete, concrete driveways and patios together bring in a lot more.

The concrete contractors who win online have a page for each type of job, show finished work with the finish and colour labelled, and explain prep, because base preparation is what decides whether concrete cracks. Many of the busiest concrete contractors also list waterproofing and foundation work, so if you do those, give them pages too.

Your website

Pages your website needs

In the order I would build them. Each page targets one group of searches.

  1. Concrete driveway page

Driveways are the core residential job. Explain thickness, reinforcement and how long before you can drive on it.

  2. Stamped and decorative concrete page

About 33,100 searches a month. Show patterns and colours with photos of your work.

  3. Patio page

Patios peak in spring. Show shapes, finishes and how they connect to the house.

  4. Repair and leveling page

Cracked and sunken concrete brings steady repair work all year.

  5. Cost page

Ranges per square foot for driveways and stamped concrete keep buyers on your site.

  6. Commercial concrete page, if you do it

Commercial clients need different proof, such as capacity, schedules and safety.

How I plan and build sites like this

Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile for concrete contractors

Primary category
Concrete contractor
Secondary categories
ContractorWaterproofing serviceDrainage serviceExcavating contractor

Categories checked on October 13, 2026

What to get right

  • Use Concrete contractor as your primary category. Of the 10 most-reviewed US concrete contractors I checked, 6 added Contractor and 5 added Waterproofing service.
  • Five of those 10 also listed Foundation, which is also the category charities use. If you do foundation repair, say so in your services and description instead.
  • Upload photos of finished driveways and patios, with the finish and town in the description.
  • Ask for reviews after the concrete has cured and the customer is using it.

Reviews

Reviews that matter for concrete contractors

Where reviews count

  • Google
  • Yelp
  • Thumbtack
  • Houzz
  • Angi
  • BBB
  • Ask every customer, not only the happy ones, right after the job is done.
  • Send one short message with a direct link, so leaving a review takes a single tap.
  • Reply to every review, good or bad, calmly and specifically.
  • Never pay for reviews or offer anything in return. It breaks Google's rules.

Ads and SEO

Local Services Ads, Google Ads and SEO

Concrete Contractors can't use Local Services Ads, so paid search means Google Ads. Ads bring leads within days but stop the moment you stop paying. SEO takes months to build, then keeps working. Most businesses run ads for the most valuable searches while SEO grows, then shift budget as organic rankings take over.

For context, Google search ads in the Home & Home Improvement category average $90.92 per lead (LocaliQ, 2026). That is a search ads benchmark, not a Local Services Ads lead price.

Mistakes

Mistakes concrete contractors make

  1. One "Concrete services" page

Driveways, patios, stamped concrete and repairs each have their own searches. Each needs a page.

  2. Photos without labels

Label the finish, colour and job type so buyers can find work like what they want.

  3. Not explaining prep

Base preparation decides whether concrete cracks. Explaining yours sets you apart from cheaper quotes.

  4. No prices

People search for driveway and stamped concrete costs. Ranges keep them on your site.

FAQ

Concrete Contractor SEO questions

How do homeowners search for concrete work?

By the job they want. Stamped concrete gets about 33,100 searches a month in the US, and driveways, patios and repairs each have their own searches. A page for each type of job brings in more work than a single concrete services page.

When is the busy season for concrete contractors?

Searches peak in July and August, at about 1.6 times the December low in the US. Pages that rank by spring catch homeowners planning driveways and patios before the busy season fills your schedule. Repair and leveling work continues into autumn, so keep those pages visible all year.

Should concrete contractors show prices?

Give ranges per square foot for common jobs and explain what changes them, such as thickness, finish, access and removal of old concrete. Driveway and stamped concrete costs are common searches, and ranges bring in realistic leads. Clear ranges also cut down on site visits for jobs that were never going to fit the budget.

What makes a concrete contractor stand out online?

Labelled photos of finished work, clear explanations of preparation and reinforcement, and recent reviews from customers who have used their new driveway or patio for a while. Those details answer the question homeowners worry about most: will it crack? A short note on how long to wait before driving or walking on new concrete also helps.

How much does SEO cost for a concrete contractor?

That comes down to three things: the competition where you work, how many job types and towns you want to target, and the state of your website today. For most concrete contractors, a monthly arrangement works best, because local rankings build over time. I start by looking at your site and your rivals, then send a fixed quote.
